Responsibilities
Plan and conduct inspection / health checks of CB businesses to identify any operations deficiencies / gaps of the business to strengthen control and compliance environment.
Track progress of issues and action plans arising from CSA, inspections and health check programs, internal and external audits and examinations and report progress to management through regular reporting.
Coordinate for local Internal Audit and external Regulators exams.
Liaison with CB Compliance Officer to help CB management in oversight of local regulations compliance.
Coordinate within CB for completion of various Control Self-assessments (CSA) and track the action plans to close any compliance gap.
Collate and analyze key risk indicators for CB and highlight key issues for management oversight and assist the completion of Operational Risk Profile for CB.
Provide necessary support to Customer Experience Management in carrying out mystery shopper exercise.
Oversee CB’s BCP readiness through annual attestation exercise.
Facilitate implementation and enforcement of the operational risk management framework within CB China to promote control and compliance culture and cascade of management messages of control and compliance.
Provide support to CB Control Assurance, Greater China for any ad hoc projects.
Requirements
Degree holder in Finance, Accounting, BA or other related disciplines.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in banking field, with exposure in control, compliance, audit, risk management or relevant experience.
Strong knowledge in risk management, particularly in operational risk or audit experience in Consumer Banking as well as knowledge of CB bank products and services.
Good understanding of the regulatory framework and relevant regulations governing CB products and services. Able to challenge status quo, good analytical skill and knowledge of internal controls and compliance.
Strong communication, teamwork, problem solving, planning & organizing skills are all essential.
Relevant Experience at local Chinese banks is a plus. |
